Assateague Island Alliance

The Assateague Island Alliance (AIA) promotes the education, awareness and protection of Assateague Island National Seashore’s wildlife and natural resources. All proceeds directly benefit Assateague Island National Seashore. AIA runs a Foster Horse Program and manages the naming for the Maryland Assateague Horses.

Chincoteague Volunteer Fire Company

The Chincoteague Volunteer Fire Company (CVFC) owns and manages the feral Chincoteague Pony herd. They provide veterinary care, emergency care, supplemental feeding and other care to the feral ponies. The CVFC puts on the annual Pony Penning, Pony Swim, Pony Auction, and Carnival.

The world's only drill team of Chincoteague Ponies. The Drill Team performs at a variety of events with the purpose of promoting the Chincoteague Pony.

The Feather Fund

The Feather Fund assists deserving children with the purchase of Chincoteague Ponies. They believe raising a foal teaches children  life lessons, including responsibility, good care, love, and ethics, as well as the concept of giving back to others through the care and training of his or her animal.
