Island Pony Models sells primed model horses and does custom, hand painted models by request. A majority of the finished artwork is based on the ponies that are currently living on Assateague Island.

I grew up on horseback, and have loved the islands since I read Misty. I first journeyed to Chincoteague in 1972, the last year of her life. My specialty is "Seaponies of Chincoteague", the real ponies done as their seagoing "mermaid" selves. My books are available on Amazon under Teanna Byerts. The islands are at the center of several. |
